We do not need to reinvent who we are. We need to focus on who we have always been.
Winning back our local space that we have given up to our competitors.
Remembering the days in this valley when Squatters and Wasatch beers were the only choices for craft beer. We created the craft beer industry in the state of Utah.
We owned the space, the media, the events, social experiences and outdoor recreation scene…we owned the storytelling. We led the sustainability efforts in this industry and set the foundation for our competition’s success. However, due to complacency, over confidence, comfort zones, we have become comfortably silent. We produce more beer now, our product offerings are available in more states, we are innovative, and we are relevant than ever before, but we are not winning at the local level. We need to focus on taking back what is rightfully ours. The approach needs to be with humble-confidence.
This is not difficult. We do not need to reinvent who we are. We need to focus on who we have always been.
